Spartan Mambo is heading down to LA tomorrow to compete in the College Salsa Congress coming up this weekend. The competition begins at 10:30pm on Saturday, and the results will be announced by midnight. The College Salsa Congress is coming up next week, and we would appreciate your support if you could contribute to our Indiegogo campaign! We have a very large team this semester, and have a lot of costs coming up for the congress including transportation, housing, and registration fees. Auditions for the Spring 2014 season of Spartan Mambo are coming! We are looking for a few new dancers to join our team this semester, and represent SJSU at the 7th Annual College Salsa Congress! The audition will be on Saturday, February 8th from 11am – 1pm at the Event Center.

Spartan Mambo is the new champion of the 2013 World Latin Dance Cup in the Collegiate Team division! This year is the first year in the history of the world championships that they have had a college division, and Spartan Mambo represented San Jose State at the competition seen by over 100,000 people from around the world! Spartan Mambo also placed 7th in the Amateur Teams division, beating out teams from Japan and Ecuador.
